Healthy Snacks For Those Picky Little Eaters

Everybody knows kids rule the house and if they’re not happy, ain’t nobody happy-especially mama! I’m sharing some of my favorite “go-to” easy snack ideas to keep those picky eaters happy.

About two and a half years ago we started following the paleo lifestyle. It initially rocked my world because I am such a picky eater when it comes to texture and flavor however, just the same, we started it to help my daughter through some health issues she was having.

Fast forward to today we know that paleo not only helped her tremendously but it also transformed our family. We also have come to find out that my daughter is ketotic hypoglycemic so, that paleo lifestyle fit into our lives even more than we could have imagined it would have.

The following snack recipes are easy to make for your kids and they will really like them. They are also mom-approved by this picky mommy-haha. Enjoy!!!

{Healthy Toddler Snacks}

Dairy-Free Ranch Dip with Fresh Cut Veggies

This recipe is amazing and a fan favorite in our home! The only difference with this dairy free ranch vs. a regular ranch is obviously that it is dairy free but it’s also thinner in consistency. The taste is almost identical and it’s really so tasty! Cut up some bell peppers, celery, and baby carrots and go to town!

S’Mores Shake

This s’mores shake is one of my absolute favorite recipes evaaa!!!! This shake is like a dessert and packed with amazing, healthy nutrients that your kids will be begging for seconds (and thirds)!!

Grain-Free Snickerdoodle Cookies (My Fave)

Snickerdoodles are my absolute favorite cookie and when we started our paleo lifestyle there were certain foods that I had to find paleo versions of. These cookies were one of them and this recipe DID NOT disappoint! Your kids will go nuts over these and I guarantee you there won’t be any left from the batch! They’re that good!

Banana Almond Butter Muffins

Okay, so I’m not sure there’s a food that I’m more obsessed with than these muffins! I make these muffins weekly you guys! No lie! I always double the batch and I kid you not, every muffin is gone within the same day. That’s 24 muffins ya’ll!!! My kids will do just about anything for these muffins and they are perfect for school lunches as well.

Dairy-Free Fruit Dip

If you’re anything like me, you try and give your kids as many fruits and veggies as they’ll take but sometimes that can be tricky. Problem solved mamas. This dip is heaven on earth and you’ll be making this daily because it’s so easy to whip up and so tasty! Not only is it dairy free and gluten free but it’s also vegan!

Dairy-Free Chocolate Pudding

This is another fan favorite that I make weekly for my kids and if there’s any left, I pack it in their school lunches. It’s packed with healthy saturated fats (brain food), but it’s guilt free CHOCOLATE!! What more could anyone want?!? (I found this recipe on The Paleo Running Momma).
